Montessori is often misunderstood as just another pre-primary label, but it is a deeply structured philosophy that supports development over years. We want parents to understand what they are choosing, not enroll only based on reputation or campus feel. Our process includes a mandatory parent orientation workshop and a detailed parent interaction to understand home practices and parenting style. Children spend only a few hours at school and most of their day at home, so consistency between school and home is essential. This process helps us build the right partnership for the child, family, and school.
The orientation explains Montessori philosophy and child development principles, how learning happens in a Montessori environment, why certain practices are followed and others are avoided, and the role of freedom, independence, responsibility, and parent partnership at home. When parents understand the why, they can support the child's journey better.
The second meeting helps us understand the child's home environment and parenting practices. Since development continues beyond school hours, home-school alignment is crucial. We discuss movement opportunities, language exposure, food habits and eating independence, toilet learning, sleep routines, social exposure, and daily responsibilities at home. This allows us to guide parents and build a consistent developmental framework.
